Revenue model – Company tested multiple revenue models in the past 14 months and customized the models based on their understanding of Indian logistics – segmented by customer type. At this point, they offer different payment models between institutional and end users. Their base platform comes free for registration and every successful transaction will be charged a standard fee for the end users. Institutional customers gets a customized portal to streamline their truck requirements and syncs with external requirements as well.

Uniqueness – ReturnTrucks focus on return trips to ensure the truck owners reduce the lead time for the return journey while the Load owners are assured of timely delivery at a comparatively lesser cost as well as reduce carbon footprint.

Challenges – The current truck booking is heavily dependent on the intermediaries in the form of Booking Agents and Brokers. Requires a  lot of on-ground work to bring technology awareness and inculcate best practices

Achievements – Acquired 5700+ truck operators and 4600+ load owners in 12 months including India’s biggest delivery channel and some of the state government projects. Currently, RT exchange ~750 leads every month and successfully connect ~250 loads a month on a standard pricing and a projected reduction of 160 metric tons* of carbon footprint.

Future Goal – It’s very encouraging response so far from corporate sector and from the fleets directly managed by truck owners. Company is looking forward to work with the local agents and streamline the logistic sector while they continue to stress on bringing visibility and assurance for the delivery through load insurance & vehicle tracking systems.

Founders  – Sudhakar Vintha - CEO : Sudhakar has worked with various Fortune 50 organizations in the past 17+ years and has a rich analyst experience. Before ReturnTrucks, Sudhakar worked with Cisco, Capital Group and Yahoo and as of now running Smartkids, portable application organization concentrating on US basic education. In the recent years, he began "Smart Kids", a versatile mobile application covering primary Education in US. He is delicate about issues, attempts to change over issues into chances and concoct results.
