Maltego is an open source intelligence and forensics application. We posted a video sometime back introducing the tool. In this video, I will show you a simple demo of how to Find Interesting information about a domain name - it's IP address, netblock, the Autonomous System Number and open ports on the box. We use Google.com in this example. Once, we know the netblock, we will try to find interesting stuff in the IP vicinity of the box.
