My few days in a relatively small nutshell!

Tags: interesting

It's been a busy few days at BritList HQ - we've been trying our hand at a number of different things, some have been Interesting others have been frustrating.

A half page advert is now running in a few regional publications that should help to generate awareness and hopefully visitors to the site - bonus prize to anyone who spots them and can name any of the publications. Interesting

We have also started dabbling with banner advertising and have knocked up a few amusing ones that can be viewed on sites such as boatsandoutboards and horsemart, both are specialised classified sites. Interesting

A major job that has challenged my patience over the past few days, is to generate meta tags for the whole site. This means coming up with a set of bespoke keywords for each class page (and at the last count there was about 85 classes - times that by at least five and that is the amount of words that are currently rattling around my head!). Frustrating (and interesting)

I've also spec'd some improvements to the site that i'm hoping my developer can begin working on over the next week or so - nothing major really - just some ideas that should improve the usability and presentation of the site whilst also keeping it nice and simple for you. (Interesting but will prob end up being frustrating)

Finally, i've also tweaked the forums and introduced some new ones that are either seasonal or less specific than the last ones, eg Pub talk - whether you've had a beer or not you can still put the world to rights there so give it a go. (Should be interesting).
