Fortnite Bugs Gave Hackers Access To Millions Of Player Accounts
Reports suggest Fortnite might have been subjected to a major security breach, hackers have managed to compromise accounts to make in-game purchases and eavesdrop on chats.

According to the researchers at CheckPoint three vulnerabilities chained together could have affected any of its 200 million players. The hackers might have managed to steal access token set on the gamers device after entering the passwords.
Earlier last month a similar warning was raised in November 2018 when the security firm said they have alerted Epic Games about it and the hole was fixed and secured this month.
Fortnite an immensely popular game has a simple login process, web infrastructure, and token authentication process has been a victim of hacks in the past.
The present hack was not a related to password, instead, the hackers managed to gain access through the flaws found in two of Epic Games subdomains.

Epic Games spokesperson responded by saying that the company is working towards securing the system while it urges consumers to practice secure gaming methods.
The spokesperson further added “We were made aware of the vulnerabilities and they were soon addressed. We thank Check Point for bringing this to our attention. As always, we encourage players to protect their accounts by not re-using passwords and using strong passwords, and not sharing account information with others.”
