The foetus was disposed of following the post-mortem. Police have lodged a case against unidentified parents in the matter.
“A female foetus was found on Tuesday morning in the bushes, about a kilometre away from Phulenda village,” said Braj Mohan, SI, Hindoli police station.
“The foetus was disposed of after post-mortem at community health centre (CHC), Hindoli,” he said.
A case under Section 317 of IPC was lodged against unidentified parents.
It has not been ascertained so far who threw the foetus in the bushes, the SI said.
In a similar incident, another female foetus was recovered from bushes in Arogyanagar area in front of Medical College Hospital under Mahaveer Nagar Police Station area of Kota. The foetus was disposed of after the post-mortem on Monday.
“The foetus is around eight months old. It was abandoned two or three days back, most likely immediately after birth,” said Tara Chand, circle incharge (CI), Mahaveer Nagar Police station.
Birth records in the medical college hospital are being examined to ascertain the parents of the foetus, the CI said.
