Udaipur : In a major breakthrough, the Chittorgarh police cracked the murder mystery of a BJP leader from Bhilwara who was found dead inside his car on Friday morning on the Menal road near Joganiya Mata temple. Two accused have been arrested while one is at large, police said. The deceased Chunnilal Joshi was vice president of Mandalgarh gramin mandal of the saffron party. A self proclaimed Tantrik Nakshatralal Mongya resident of Pratapgarh and his aide Kalulal Mongya resident of Mangalwad (Chittorgarh)have been arrested for the murder while a third person who assisted them is absconding.
” The main accused Nakhsatralal had called Chunnilal on Thursday evening on pretext of doubling his money through tantric powers and the old man had gone to meet him with 2 lakh rupees after believing in his words, they killed the man and fled with the money and his mobile phone” BhawaniShankar Meena, ASP Rawatbhata told Udaipur Kiran.
Chunnilal’s body was found inside his car’s trunk which was tied all over with sacred thread (lachha/moli). Police has suspected some tantrik’s hand behind the murder with a motive for looting money. The CCTV footage from toll plaza and call records of the deceased pointed towards Nakshatralal who was in contact with Chunnilal for an year. Nakshatralal had made the victim believe that he possessed special powers through which he could make Chunnilal’s business flourish and help him earn lot of money.
The tantrik took a large amount from Chunnilal for building a small hut ashram at Chhoti Sadri. The deceased had paid quite a large sum in regular intervals during a year and when he did not get expected returns from his business as assured by the tantrik, he started demanding his money back. Nakshatralal who has a poor vision, conspired a plan to get rid of Chunnilal who was becoming assertive day by day and hence he thought of a plan to kill him.
On Thursday, he called Chunnilal to meet him with 2 lakh rupees for some tantric techniques and assured that his money would be doubled after the procedure. Chunnilal believed his words and went with the money on the deserted Menal road where Nakshatralal performed some tantric process. Meanwhile, two of his aides arrived on a motorcycle and finding an opportunity they strangled the old man with the sacred thread. They fled with his mobile and the money kept inside the car.
