There is no place like Hawaii with its beautiful balmy breezes and sunshine it is a one of a kind place. By Hawaii, visitors should know that they mean the 5 major Hawaiian islands. These are Oahu, Maui,Molokai, Hawaii and Kauai. These islands are beautiful and amazing places. I visited the islands in 2007 and found them to be very special for for a few different reasons. To get Hawaii islands you will need ESTA visa which can be applied online.

Something Familiarly Different

You can see islands that are part of the United States but are so different from the continental U.S. You can enjoy a number of tourism opportunities in Hawaii including going to a luau, or whale watching. The opportunities for tourism are virtually unlimited. I found the islands to be a bit of the far East in the United States. I noticed that the signs are in Japanese as well in English, and enjoyed the slightly different culture.

The Weather

Near perfect Weather is a reason to visit the islands. The weather in Hawaii rarely gets higher than 82 or lower than 78 at night. Balmy trade winds make the weather in Hawaii nearly picture perfect any time of the year. It is a good escape for those from more Northerly climes. It does rain in Hawaii but storms are usually short lived and don’t detract from the experience. I really enjoyed the weather when I visited the islands a few years ago.

Life by the Sea

You can lean enjoy watersports or learn to surf where it all began. Hawaii is the home of some of the most beautiful surf in the world and hosts surf competitions every year. The beautiful Hawaiian islands have state of the art snorkeling in several bays in the region. They also have opportunities for swimming and sun bathing. It is a good place for water lovers, even though the water can be a bit chilly at times. Some people enjoy it so much they stay year for the whole of the winter! There’s a community of condos in Kauai with just temporary residents!

Incredible Geography

The chance to view a live volcano. The island of Hawaii or the “big island” as it is commonly called is he home of a live volcano Mauna Kea and is home to Volcanoes National Park. Those who choose to go to this place will find that they have unique experiences seeing a live volcano. This island grows every year a few inches from the lava that is being generated. I did not get to this site so it is one of the reasons I would like to go back to the island.

Historic Sites

Go to see Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial. I really enjoyed my trip to this interesting memorial. The attack on the Arizona which precipitated World War II is still spewing up oil more than 70 years later. I found it to be a dramatic and sobering experience to see the memorial that led to in so much loss of life and the U.S. entry into the war.

Having visited Hawaii, I can honestly say, it was a delightful experience and one I hope to repeat at some point in the future. I would highly recommend it… and if you’re looking to stay somewhere as lush as I did, consider treating yourself to Poipu Sands! Sometimes the place you sleep at night can make all the difference in how you perceive where you’re visiting!!
