Get Your Golf Swing Swag On

The essence of swag was best defined by Shark Tank show billionaire, Mark Cuban.  He said it means when I’m at work I don’t have to wear a tie, but I can tell my employees what to wear.  Your Golf swing mentality should always have his confident, persistent and consistent demure.

A golf Club is simply an extension of your arms and hands.  Your goal is to reach out and with direct eye contact make a firm business handshake with the ball.  No silly whimsical high fives.  No loud outlandish gesture movements.  No mental daydreams.  The golf ball only respects and returns what you initially give it.

You “grip it and rip it” expecting professional results only to be led down the path of furious failure.  You voraciously seek out the secret formula to the perfect golf swing.  You allow peers to influence which club sets are the best.  You avidly read golf magazines and books.  You incessantly watch the Golf Channel.  All to no avail.

Here’s your answer.  Every pro golf player has had their physical body type swing swag  thoroughly digitally analyzed.  Each golf club has been modified to fit their personal swing.  Other than a professional golfer paying for a caddie to carry his/her clubs, to tell them the exact shot yardage distance, wind velocity direction and putting break apex;  the single key ingredient to their lower scores is…offset golf clubs.

Jack Nicklaus fervently stated golfers should always use their same swing tempo mechanics no matter the club yardage distance.  Back in his prime touring days, it was common practice for players to add weight strips to the club face edge or backing in order to counter a slice or hook.

The evolution of offset clubs resolved that proverbial dilemma.  Take an offset club and peer down the shaft.  You’ll notice the grooved face was moved slightly behind the nozzle/neck instead of aligning flush.  Now, a golfers normal stance and swing consistently produced straight shots.

Normal off the rack golf clubs have a fatal human anatomy design flaw.  It doesn’t take into account that your right hand just before you strike the ball often times won’t  automatically turn over to the left.  The right hand needs to rollover left, so the club face will be flush/perpendicular to the ball before, during and after strike impact.

Offset clubs were specifically engineered to resolve the dreaded slice for professional and amateur players alike.  Yet, only the pros have taken full advantage of this inexpensive miracle cure.  I challenge you the next time you’re out at the practice range to take ten honest shots per club.  Remember, always use your God given natural swing and tempo.  Jot down which clubs consistently slice or severely fade the ball.  Now you know which normal club or clubs need to be replaced with offset.

Go to a golf club discount store or search on Craigslist.  Never purchase brand new.  Expensive club set brand names are evil marketing snake oil sales pitches.  Check each offset club for the following physical defects:  face grooves are chipped, the grip is slippery, the shaft is bent and the nozzle is loose.  Now that you have the correct golf clubs in your bag, return to the practice range and get your Golf Swing Swag on!
