The Boon of Biryani

10 March 2018

Wherever you are, behold the moment. Take a seat. For an Aroma might punch you over. Might get you drunk. Might make you wanna do things you never did before. Like ordering the same dish over and over. And over. Till you are so full. That you are heavier than a stone. Lazier than a grown(up man). That punch, that inexplicable urge was due to the heavenly dish of Biryani.

Not many have tasted this wonder. Not many will. But those who have, know that they will do it again. A Biryani is a binary combination of meat and rice, of aroma and flavour, of hunger and satiety, of bliss and ecstacy and of nothingness yet eternity. This plate full of phenomenal delicious mouth watering insanity is always ready to catch you off the guard and deliver you an experience of the lifetime.

Let us deduce how such a plate tastes like. Using metaphors. The grains of rice are angels from above that exploits simplicity to yield a complicated interrelationship between a supple mouthful and a crunchy revelation. The piece of meat is an underworld leader. With the epithets of rich flavours and juicy fibres, goldened with respectful flames of timid fires. The ultimate combination will leave you speechless, figuratively because it tastes wondrous and literally because you cannot restrict yourself to anything but a greedy mouthful.

You can take a vote. But every author will confess, writing an article on biryani is the toughest. You simply can’t decide, whether to type or wipe (your mouth).
