Kanye West has always been hovering around the political world. First he informed the nation that George W. Bush doesn’t care about black people during a telethon raising money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and these days he’s calling slavery a choice and hanging out with Donald Trump in the Oval Office, talking about the president’s male energy.

But did you know he also appears to be great friends with former Cia Director George Tenet? Take a look at the lyrics from his 2012 hit “Clique”:

Yeah I’m talking business, we talking CIA

I’m talking George Tenet, I seen him the other day

He asked me about my Maybach, think he had the same

Except mine tinted and his might have been rented

Asking about one’s Maybach sure seems like the friendly thing to do. Also, seeing your friend “the other day” suggests that you see him/her with some level of regularity. Which begs the question: When in the world did Kanye West meet George Tenet?

West has had plenty of time to do so; Tenet was the second-longest-serving director in the agency’s history, holding the position from 1997 until 2004. Kanye West dropped The College Dropout and Late Registration in 2004 and 2005, so it stands to reason that Tenet was enamored with the rapper and wanted to meet him (being a CIA director holds that kind of weight). But it might also mean that Tenet knew West long before that and that maybe West and his music are simply pawns of the CIA, which means we should start studying his lyrics a lot closer. What exactly does “poopy-di scoop” mean?

I think this also explains West’s recent head-scratching behavior. Think about all the secrets Tenet has floating around in his head. There’s Al-Qaeda and the lead-up to the War on Terror, September 11th, the controversy over weapons of mass destruction in Iraq – and those are just a few of the things we actually know about. Tenet holds the answers to the CIA’s knowledge of alien life, about the underground lizard people stealing human identities for their own… the list goes on and on.

Once Tenet resigned from the position in 2004, there’s no doubt he needed to unload this information on someone, and it looks like that person might have been his good friend Kanye West. And over the years, he just kept divulging more and more – the truth of the Kennedy assassination, how the CIA staged the moon landing, the horrifying things they did find in Iraq besides weapons of mass destruction – and it finally turned West’s brain to mush.

There’s no telling how much damage Tenet has truly done to West’s mind, or how much damage he’ll do in the future. But when we one day see West running down the freeway in his underwear with a lightsaber, screaming “I am a Jedi!” we’ll know the reason why.
