Nit Sprong (1963-Present) Part 7

                      Nit Sprong (1963-Present) Part 7

Retired, at least for the moment, from the music business, Nit looked around for ways to fill her now-empty days. After considering her options, she decided to return to her old job at Dempie's department store, which was now called Mega-Dempie's. Because she was a celebrity, the manager of the store put her in charge of greeting customers as they came in the door, and of offering them Tropical Fish Stick samples. Compared to the stress of recording sessions and touring schedules, Nit welcomed the mindless repetition of her new position. ("Welcome to Mega-Dempie's. Please try a Chinese Algae Eater.")
Nit also used this time to reconnect with her aunt and uncle, Connie and Dun. As a result of her recent experience with a psychiatrist, Nit had a number of unanswered questions regarding her parents. Patiently and tenderly, Connie and Dun told Nit how the events at the Florida restaurant, Manatee-'N-Tater-On-A-Stick, had caused them to flee to Honduras where they had been forced to work at Chiggers-In-A-Bowl. (Which had since been sold to the Sea-Bass-In-A-Hat family of restaurants.)
2000-Present: In 2004, a music promoter offered Nit the chance to make a comeback in the music business. His idea was to team her with a German rapper named Assud Reflux and to package them as a novelty act. Nit was tempted but, in the end, she declined the offer.
In 2009, Nit abruptly quit her job. This gave rise to rumors that her parents had managed to sneak back into the country and reunite with their daughter. Nit refused to respond to the gossip, but the rumors persisted when, a short time later, she went to work for a new restaurant in town called Tuna-In-A-Teabag.
