Star wars is a series that has fans across generations. It’s a tale of things happening in a galaxy far, far away. However, seems like the force wasn’t strong with the writer when he wrote about the following characters:-

1) Chewbacca

Probably the most loved non human character from the entire series. He is a loyal co- pilot to Han Solo. He is a wookiee from the planet kashyyyk.  Given all that he has an appearance of a dead burnt grass and can only grunt or groan for any verbal communication. We can only wonder what will happen if someone spits a chewing gum on chewiee (no pun intended).

 2)Salacious B. Crumb

The weirdness of this character can be easily judged by its name. Sitting on Jabba’s stomach he kept laughing or had to make Jabba laugh. Other than that he had no particularly great job. He probably looks like ‘Muppet making’ gone terribly wrong. For a character that just had to laugh as a hyena, a lot of effort was put into this. We can’t get over the fact that he even has a middle name.

3) Jabba the Hutt

The biggest (literally) gangster on Tatooine. Known for his piracy, commanding cruel things he captured Princess Leia and also placed a price on Han Solo! He was too big to be fitted into one single frame but we could identify his crocodile like eyes and his tentacles. He was one of those characters that rarely appeared in the films but his presence was felt throughout the series.

4) Max Rebo

What if I told you there was a blue colored elephant that was the master of keyboards in Jabbas Palace. He leads the Max Rebo band. His appearance is relatively simple i.e., an elephant that is blue. People in different galaxies believed he had magic in his hands. You can see the way he slides his hands over the keys. No wonder the band was named after him.

5) Darth Maul

 The Lord of the Sith was trained by the evil Darth sidious. His appearance can never be forgotten even though he appeared in only one film. Horns coming out of his multi colored face, he also had similarly toned eyes. The thing that made him famous was his double ended light saber. He was a character that kids were scared were at that time.  Thankfully Obi Wan Kenobi killed him in its debut film only.

6)Bib Fortuna

If you think Darth Maul was scary, this has to be the scariest character there. He’s the ideal representation of a modern day politician as he used Jabba to get his own ideas through. His pasty skin, blood red eyes and Tentacles protruding out of the back of his head were all a combination of scary alien looks. Although he was shrewd enough to manipulate Jabba’s decisions, he was still susceptible to Jedi’s mind tricks.

7) Lobot

Just like his short name, he was also minimal in expression. He was the computer liaison officer of planet Bespin. More importantly he was a loyal friend to Lando as he helps him to regain the trust of his friends. Besides all of this, we always wanted that cool headgear that he had.

We can admit not all the characters were great in Star Wars, but that doesn’t diminish the legacy that these films have created. To the ones reading: May the Force be with you.
