Dulux already revealed their Colour of the Year, and at least one designer is predicting that Pantone will go with Peacock Blue. But U.S. paint manufacturer BenjaminMoore is taking the most daring stand.
They've chosen Simply White, shown above, as their Colour of the Year for 2016.
White may be the absence of colour, but it's also one of the most popular house paints. American interior designers responded with statements that sound polite. White, they said, is a good paint colour. Benjamin Moore offers 250 shades of it. Some admired the paint company for taking an uncluttered approach to colour.
Jean Molesworth Kee, a Virginia decorator, said that white looks beauitful on walls in Australia, where the light is good, but she wasn't completely sold on using it in America.
What do you think? Will choosing white for your walls next year be a blow for the superiority of Aussie light?
