Austin Receives “Best Place To Live” Award

Tags: austin music

The city of Austin was recently included on Business Insider's list of “50 Best Places to Live.” The even greater news is that Austin took the number one spot on this list, beating out other locations such as San Jose, California, Denver, Colorado, and Boston, Massachusetts.   The list noted that Austin currently has a population of approximately 1,889,094 people and that the average annual salary currently sits at $49,960.   In terms of population, Texas's capital city obtains about 50 new residents every single day, according to the Business Insider list. Many of these residents often seek out a great deal of the city's cultural institutions, music, and various outdoor spaces.   Furthermore, the list notes that Austin is loved by many because of the city's live music scene and because of the fact that the city plays host to some of the largest culture and music festivals that can be found in the entire United States of America. These festivals include the Austin City Limits Music Festival and SXSW.   Back in the 1990s, Austin received the nickname “Silicon Hills” thanks to the city being “among the top areas for venture capital investment in the country.” Thank you for visiting Barton Harris' blog, an Austin real estate firm.
