14 February is not just Valentine’s Day. Back in my JC days, it’s also known to be Friendship Day. It doesn’t quite matter if you don’t have a valentine. Friends are equally important and they can be a very strong pillar of support. This year, I’m going to make very simple and adorable Candy Bags for my friends to celebrate this special day!

To make these Candy bags, you’ll need:

1. Transparent or translucent wrapping paper/plastic (SGD 2 from Daiso)
2. Ribbon (SGD 2 from Daiso)
3. Scissors
4. A bag of Hershey’s kisses or any other candies of similar proportions (SGD 10 from Candylicious)

Step 1: Divide the chocolates into groups of 10. You can mix and match the chocolates or separate them according to their packaging color as I did below.

Step 2: Cut the wrapper into 12 cm x 12 cm, one piece for each group of chocolates. Place 10 pieces of Hershey’s onto the wrapping paper and close your fist gently to wrap the wrapper around the chocolates.

Step 3: Cut a strip of ribbon (20 cm long) and tie it round to secure the candies and prevent them from falling out. Repeat the same process for all the other chocolates. In just 10 minutes, you would have made 7 candy bags at a cost of just SGD2 per bag!
