Chinese pear - Chinese trees symbolize the spring

Adorable Chinese tree
Chinese trees are much more than plants, as we can learn from the Chinese Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) and its various uses. This tree is also known as the Asian Pear or Japanese Pear, because of its origin. Many assume that it’s a family member of the apple, since it’s also called apple pear, while it’s actually called that because of its shape and since it’s crispy like an apple. In Australia and other countries it’s called Nashi, which is the Japanese word for pear. Many names, but everyone agrees on its great sweet taste.  If you see the Chinese Pear flowers, it means it’s spring time, and the tree actually become the symbol of spring in China.

Its unique sweet taste made it a mandatory ingredient in many eastern recipes, such as Asian pear crisp and steamed pears. Many use it as a sweetener in sauces – much better than using a sugar. It’s so juicy, that you better wrap it if you want to keep it – this way you can store this great fruit for weeks.
When returning to my home in the states, I really missed this lovely tree, which was so popular in the countryside of China, where I’ve been living for more than a decade. Since I didn’t have a backyard, I found an alternative to be near this beautiful tree, looking at its amazing blossom every day. Look at the various posters in this post – it’s so vivid, like many other paintings of Chinese art: nature, people and calligraphy. It’s enough to hang a picture of a river or a Chinese farmer in your living room or bed room, and  you get the feeling you’re walking in the countryside of China.
Pink Chinese tree

The double pink Chinese tree is another picture you can find in houses of many people coming back from China, giving them the feeling they have never left.Look  at these extraordinary flowers and leaves, its unique colors. The last Chinese tree for this post caught my eyes especially for its simplicity and fine colors. You'll be surprised how much serenity and beauty can a picture bring to your house. It's something that even most expensive ornaments and home decor stylists will have trouble to make.
