How To Have the Right Mindset in Games

Being a gamer for many years has given me many good and bad experiences. And one of the most important things when it comes to gaming is to have the right Mindset. I have been guilty of overreacting in the past and I would get tilted very fast. (being tilted is when you start playing bad because of your emotions) So here’s a little guide to how you could have the right mindset in games.

Decide What’s Best For You
Even though it might not be obvious at first, you need to start thinking about what you want from your gaming experience. I have been playing League of Legends for a long time and I started getting very mad when I was losing. It was affecting my games so I decided one day that I should try to eliminate most of the angry sentiments. Maybe there are other things you would like to accomplish, so think carefully about what you want.

One other thing I tried was online Casino Gaming, but that one was another weird place where I was having problems because of my bad mindset. The world of online casino gaming can be quite frustrating at times, especially for a beginner. But after figuring it out and successfully changing my mindset, it was less frustrating and I started winning more from gambling.

Be Less Emotional
It is ok to show emotions and it’s actually recommended in some cases. But if you are serious about a certain game, you have to leave that behind and think as “professional” as you can at least for the period of time you are playing. This will probably keep you from raging and tilting a lot. If someone from your team (if it is a team-based game) does something bad, just ignore it and think that people do a lot of mistakes. They are human beings just like you and they want to play their favorite game even though they’re not perfect at it.

If you’re talking about a game where the opponent can actually see you in real life like poker then it’s actually the best thing to do. People can see your gambling habits quite fast if you are letting your emotions out and they will use them to win. So be conservative.

Recognize Your Faults
There are times when it’s hard to recognize that you have made a mistake. But if you won’t acknowledge it at least, then you will never fix the mistake. This is a very hard step to make, but once you get used to it, you will recognize the power of listening to criticism and analyzing your mistakes.

For example, I was playing blackjack a few years ago and I wasn’t winning that much. So one day I decided to look carefully at what moves I was doing and I was comparing them with moves the professional players would do. I also watched a lot of content regarding blackjack which made me realize I was doing many mistakes.

Be Kind
This one applies only if you are playing a team-based game. Even though it might not seem like it, it does do a lot of good to be kind. If your teammates see that you are nice, they are more inclined to listen to you and maybe even play better since they know that team has their backs. Never underestimate the power of kindness.

Stay Positive
On a final note, positivity is very good in general. It is not ok to have exaggerated positivity though. You want the realist kind of positivity. The thought that things will probably go well and if they don’t… well, it’s not the end of the world. I was playing slot games a lot on Stargames and I wasn’t on a good winning streak. But by following the rules above, I finally got some luck and along with my experience (experience regarding how to manage slot bets and no tilting), I managed to win quite a lot after some time. There is a role for the right mindset even in online casino gaming. So stay positive.
