OnStage 2018 Display Stamper Submission

Eek… finishing up with just “minutes” too spare for my Display Stamper submission! But I’m so excited to share with you a variety of projects. These are projects that I’ve created or selected as my submissions for the 2018 OnStage Live Display Stamper application.
And, there is nothing like working under pressure to complete, choose and submit projects for Display Stamper. This year I’m excited to be heading to Orlando for the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up! and my 5th Anniversary as a demonstrator. My registration is complete, and I’m ready to hit the road and meet up with all my stamping friends!

2018 OnStage Live

Display Stamper Submission

Here we go… most of my submissions are NEW and never been seen at least here on my blog. I’m really excited about each of the projects that I’m sharing and I hope you enjoy them as well.

Project #1 – 8th Crow Wing Lake Scrapbook Page

Each summer I enjoy going up to Minnesota for about a month. I’ve created scrapbook pages featuring my son and all the fun we have but I’ve never done a page about what it means to me. There is something about going “Up North” to get away and enjoy the lake that I find very therapeutic for the soul.
I love the Watercolor swooshes I made in the background using Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, and Blueberry Bushel.
Here I’ve written a poem for my journaling to express how I feel and ties into the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.
One last view… A favorite technique of mine is to take a die cut such as the “amazing” from the Celebrate You Thinlits. I die cut the image 3 times, glue it together then heat emboss multiple times until it is very thick chipboard. The end product is sturdy and looks truly amazing! (Did you see what I did there?)…

Project #2 – Merry Christmas Acetate Card Box Packaging.

So, this project uses the Acetate Card Box in a different way. I started by cutting the box in half, then I embossed the box and finished it off with a custom decorated flap. This project features some of the wonderful new products that will be available in the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.
The Winter Woods Bundle is an amazing new product and as I was designing this fun packaging, I had to use the In The Woods Framelits. The evergreen fronds are lightly brushed with Frost White Shimmer Paint so it looks like there is snow on the tree. Again, I’ve stacked and heat embossed the “Merry” to create a chipboard effect. I heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and I just love how it looks.
In this side view, look closely and you can see the embossed Acetate Card Box. I have also used the Delicate Lace Edgelits to create a beautiful, festive feeling edge.

Project #3 – Custom Stationary Set with 3 coordinating cards

This project was so much fun to make. I didn’t want it to feel very “Christmassy” but would be a wonderful gift for Christmas or other time of the year. I’ve used the new Farmhouse Christmas Bundle along with some of our new Stampin’ Blends.
The outer portion of the Stationary Set starts with measurements of 7″ x 11″ and then I scored at 5″ and 6″ to create the cover. I’ve decorated the outside using the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. The Gray Granite stitched rectangle is created by carefully using the Square Stitched Shape Framelit but not cutting all the way to the end of the square, then you realign and cut from the other side.
To hold the Stationary Kit closed, I’ve used the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon. This ribbon is divine!
Here is the inside of the stationary kit! I’ve created three identical cards which coordinate with the front of the Stationary Kit. Again, I love that the sentiment could be used year-round which makes this a very versatile gift. The envelopes are also dressed up with the same coordinating pattern from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper pack.

Project #4 – Christmas Wishes

While visiting one of my stamping sisters and friends, Sandy, I had the opportunity to play with the Dashing Deer Bundle that she brought home as a Pillow Gift she received on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip. This set truly inspired me and I couldn’t get enough of it.
A key feature of this card is the deer that is die cut using the NEW “revised” Gold Glimmer Paper. Let me just tell you that this new Glimmer Paper is divine! If you haven’t purchased any… RUN, do not walk, to your nearest demonstrator.
The All is Bright Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous. I love the festive, photographic images and you will too!
Now, I encourage you to keep an eye out for an upcoming Online – LIVE – class I’ll be offering that features this class. The class will be part of an exclusive Facebook Group, so you want to watch for details on how to get in on the class and the cool part is that you can jump into the live event or come back and take the class at your own pace by watching the recorded Facebook Live videos.

Project #5 – Celebrate You

Now, lest we forget, there is the amazing Annual Catalog with lots of wonderful products. This card features the Thank You Thinlit but I’ve actually cut the “Thank” off from the “you.” And, yes, Coastal Cabana along with Bermuda Bay are probably one of my absolute FAVORITE color combinations!
In the background, I have snuck in a little bit of Granny Apple Green by stamping with the Artisan Textures Stamp Set. Then there are lots of fun layers featuring the Bunch of Banners Framelits and Stitched Shape Framelits.
Did you check out the fun embellishments? Although hard to see, there is Silver Metallic thread tucked in behind the banner along with the Mini Sequin Trim. Then I finished the card off with the gorgeous Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots.

Project #6 – Dream Big Card

Here we are with my last submission as I feature the Follow Your Dreams Bundle which is also a new set from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. If you were at my most recent Cards-A-Latte class at the Ugly Mug Bean & Brew in Garner, NC, then you had the pleasure of making this fun card!
The background again features the Artisan Textures Stamp set. Then I stamped the Dreamcatcher with Grapefruit Grove and used the coordinating Chase Your Dreams Framelits to die cut. I also added the second, smaller Dreamcatcher as a top layer. The feathers are also stamped, die cut and layered behind the dreamcatcher as well.
Did I mention how much I love the colors featured on this card?
The colors are Balmy Blue, Grapefruit Grove, and Gray Granite! I stamped the “Big” with the Balmy Blue and cut the ends at an angle just below the “dream.” And, to finish the card, I added the Silver Metalic Pearls.

Thank You!

Now, before you go, I just want to say thank you for dropping in on my blog to check out my submissions. It’s an honor to be given the opportunity to be a Display Stamper in Orlando! I can hardly wait for OnStage.
