Crystal Stack Christmas Tree

CRYSTAL GLASS STACKED TREE

I have been searching for months looking for pieces to make a stacked crystal Christmas tree.   I finally got all the pieces and got out my diamond drill to cut holes.

So this is what I started with. I used old lamp parts to hold the pieces together.

This is the piece that I found on the internet to inspire me.  I can’t tell you how many thrift stores I went into looking for different sizes of crystal candlestick holders so I could stack them to no avail!  Since I came up dry on finding candlesticks, I decided to find bowls or plates.

LOL when I compare my inspiration piece to the actual result, I am underwhelmed! But everything doesn’t have to be a smashing success!  I am adding this crystal tree to my collection for December Art Walk.

As usual after I make my post I get curious how many repurposing ideas I haven’t seen yet, so I Googled “upcycled Glass tree” and found some pretty glass stacked trees.

This one is glass globes…pretty!

This one is glass candy dishes.

Of course this one isn’t for Christmas, but it is a cool stacked glass idea!

Even though this idea is underwhelming, sometimes I have to follow through with an idea, just to get it out of my system.  Whew, done with THAT!
