Energy Boost

After debating with myself the whole day yesterday, Tuesday, whether to practice or not, I ended up leaving work early in the afternoon for a 5 PM practice in the studio. I was feeling drained the whole day and was hoping that my Tuesady practicing partner, B, does not show up so that I can do an abbreviated P.S. practice.

There she was, though, right on time and ready to practice. So we ended up doing the whole first series, and assisted each other in drop backs before closing. The standing sequence was a bit shaky as my energy level was on the very low end, but I felt a lot more energized from the Marichy's on.

Funny how many of the asanas felt like I have not done them in a while, despite having been practicing regularly lately and with a full practice the evening before, on Monday. My hips, hams and back felt very tight too, making me dig deeper into my breath.

Despite all that stiffness and lethargy, it was great to feel energetic by the time I was done. My mind kept intervening afterwards trying to investigate the lack of progress and analyze some of my asana shortcomings, but the words "Practice and all is coming" made me relax a bit and just let go.
