ACE Inhibitors May Cause a Persistent Hacking Cough

ACE inhibitors(Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors) are a class of Blood Pressure medication that can lower blood pressure by dilating the arteries. They may cause a persistent hacking cough that has no underlying condition causing the cough. If you are on an ACE inhibitor, check with your Physician and see if there are any causes for your cough and if not, it could be the medicine and the Doctor my have to adjust or change the prescription.
