Another look at Paul Spadoni, sometimes billed as “The Cannon King” or “Heavy Weight Juggler Par Excellence” — his specialty was to lift, balance, and juggle anything heavy, such as cannons, cannon balls, and the “torpedo” shown here. It was said that his skill defied the laws of gravity. Spadoni filled Vaudeville theaters all over the country in the early 1900’s. His wife also joined in the act.
