Mushroom Pepper Chilli Fry

Mushroom Pepper Chilli Fry is a dry saute made with button Mushroom and all three colored capsicums or Bell Peppers. This dry saute can be enjoyed as such or as a side dish during a meal.

I don’t eat Mushroom and that’s one of the reasons why I don’t feature that many Mushroom dishes. However, Daddy and Konda are fond of it and recently Amma also picked up eating it. So during their recent vegetable shopping, Amma picked up a packet of Button Mushroom and she made this dry saute. So I am just sharing the recipe she gave and the clicks that Konda took from iPhone. Amma has already repeated this couple of times since making it. I am getting around sharing it only now.

In the past, I decided I will get myself used to mushroom and had made on Konda’s request the popular Soya Mushroom Biryani that her friend’s mom used to make. That was the only time I tried eating it, then gave up completely. So after repeated request from Konda to make Mushroom, we decided we would have this for her and Dad.

We have used all three Red, Yellow and Green Capsicum along with regular Green Chillies. On top, we have used pepper powder as well. So you can reduce according to your spice level. Again instead of the battered Chilli recipe types, we have simply used the mushroom as such and not deep fried. This surely ends up a delicious dry saute for a snack in the evenings or any filling meal or as a side dish during a meal.

We are starting the final week of BM#89, I will be sharing some bookmarked recipes, basically from Amma.
