  1)   Cold Compress for Face

A cold compress is one of the easiest remedies for redness on face. It helps cool your facial Skin and bring any swelling down.

You just need a clean towel and some ice cubes. Don’t apply the ice cubes directly on the skin as this can do harm. Wrap the ice cubes in the towel and then apply on your face.

Recipe1

a) Take a few ice cubes and wrap them in a towel

b) Press the towel on the red portions on your face in a gentle fashion for a few minutes.

c) Repeat several times a day.

d) If you don’t have ice cubes, you may dip the towel in chilled water and squeeze the towel dry before applying on your face.

  2)   Coconut Oil for Face

Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer which helps to keep your skin hydrated. It is highly beneficial for redness on your face, as this condition often is associated with skin dryness or tightness.

Coconut oil has saturated fatty acids. These can easily penetrate your skin and help in boosting hydration.

Coconut oil is also an excellent anti-inflammatory agent helping in conditions such as rosacea or severe acne accompanied by redness.

a) Wash your face thoroughly using a mild cleanser

b) Pat dry with a clean, warm towel.

c) Apply a very thin layer of coconut oil using a cotton pad

d) Repeat twice daily for a month.

  3)   Aloe Vera Gel for Face

Aloe Vera gel has polysaccharides, which help in treating skin problems and reducing inflammation. Aloe Vera gel helps in reducing facial flushing effectively.

Recipe3

a) Wash your face thoroughly with warm water.

b) Slice an aloe Vera leaf and squeeze the gel out.

c) Apply the gel in a thin layer onto your face.

d) Allow it to dry completely

e) Rinse your face with cool water

f) Repeat twice daily for two months.

  4)   Honey for Face

Honey mixed with beeswax and olive oil benefits people who have fungal skin infections causing scaling, skin redness, burning pain or itchiness.

Honey has very powerful soothing, hydrating, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory effects on your skin.

Recipe4

a) Take 1 tablespoonful each of honey, olive oil, beeswax and mild moisturizer and combine them all in a bowl.

b) Apply the mixture on your face and massage gently for a few minutes

c) Let the mixture sit on your face for 20 minutes

d) Wash off completely using warm water

e) Pat your face dry using a clean towel

f) Repeat twice or thrice weekly

  5)   Oatmeal for Face

Oatmeal helps reduce facial redness, skin irritation, skin itchiness, and inflammation. The fine particles of oatmeal form a protective barrier when applied on the skin.

It helps in skin moisturizing and prevents dehydration due to the protective barrier.

Recipe5

a) Take 1/2 cup of oatmeal and grind it into a powder in a blender

b) Mix the ground oatmeal in 1/4 cup water to form a paste

c) Apply the paste on the inflamed and red skin.

d) Leave it on for 15 minutes. But do not scrub or rub it as this may increase the redness.

e) Rinse off using cool water

f) Pat dry using a soft, clean towel

g) Repeat twice daily for a week.
