AFRICA STANDS ALONE AND NOT INTERESTED IN THIRD WORLD WAR

African-American military called buffalo soldiers used to protect travel routes and fought American Indians

"It is clear that we must find an African solution to our problems, and that this can only be found in African unity. Divided we are weak; united, Africa could become one of the greatest forces for good in the world."- Kwame Nkrumah

The tension between North Korea and America is a clear sign that if care is not taken the Third World War will begin. Would Africa be persuaded to get involve if the situation becomes critical?

Africa is never given any recognition despite "all the stock exchanges in the world are preoccupied with the continent’s gold, diamonds, uranium, platinum, copper and iron ore," said Kwame Nkrumah.

Every year tons of raw materials reach the shores of Europe and America for production but Africa is a rejected continent which has suffered oppression, colonial aggression, slavery, Apartheid and man-made diseases, such as Aids and Ebola.

The African continent remains the last resort to Europe and America, as a dumping ground for unwanted materials due to the abusive and corrupt governments. Also in the past, its citizens have been used as Guinea pigs to test medicine and drugs manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in Europe and America.

Decades after independence swept through Africa, the leaders still depend on European and American leaders for their loans and bread, therefore, it is likely that if Third World War breaks and the situation becomes critical, they will persuade African leaders to participate in the war.

It would be an act of irresponsibility if African leaders would heed to the voice of any external request to send African soldiers to participate in the war that has nothing to do with us.

During the Second World War, some Africans in France fought for the country. However, after the end of the war in 1945, they were neglected by France.

Just a week ago, after over seven decades, the French President, Francois Hollande decides to give citizenship to 28 African War Veterans who fought for the country in World War II. The question is why such a decision decades after the Second World War is over?

How many African war Veterans have died without dignity before their fellow soldiers were given that recognition as human beings? The veterans, many from Senegal, and aged between 78 and 90, received their new certificates of citizenship at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

It is obvious that Hollande has been forced to do something about this inhuman act because he senses danger. Even if there isn't any threat of impending Third World War, Hollande wants to make sure that the government gives them that recognition to prevent 'No' for an answer if it's necessary for France to defend the country if Third World War breaks.

According to the report, campaigners have long been calling for the rights of the veterans, long-term French residents, to be recognized but everything fell on deaf ears. But evidence of impending war has forced Hollande to do something his country has neglected for decades.

Many times politicians pretend that everything is going well and ignore the welfare of Africans. Since Africans in Europe or America are considered second class citizens they are systematically discriminated against until the time they want to use them that changes become necessary.

Africa stands alone as a continent of neglect. Poverty and diseases have ruined the lives of thousands of Africans. According to the Bible, God created man in his own image.

It is not written anywhere that Africans must suffer slavery, Apartheid, colonial aggression and man-made diseases because of the colour of the skin. Enough is enough.
