SERENA WILLIAMS AGAINST RACISM

Serena Williams: African-American professional tennis player, who has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles and several Olympic gold medals.

Racism like incurable cancer which has destroyed our communities. It will never end because it's like a subject thought at school or at home to raise little children. Yes, there is no child born a racist, adults teach them.

If racists or those who hate others because of the colour of the skin or religion, wouldn't cultivate the habit to love, care and respect others, there will never be peace in this world.

Below is the Serena Williams' response to  Ilie Nastase’s alleged racist comments about her unborn child, shortly after the tennis star shared one of her secrets that she is pregnant.

It disappoints me to know we live in a society where people like Illie Natase can make such racist comments towards myself and unborn child, sexist comments against my peers.

I have said it once and I'll say it again, this world has come so far but yet we have so much further to go. Yes, we have broken down so many barriers, however, there are plethora more to go.

This or anything else will stop me from pouring love, light, and positivity into everthing that I do. I will continue to lead ad stand up for for what's right.

I am not afraid unlike you. You see, I am no coward. "Does my sassiness upset you?" Why are you beset withg loom? You may shoot me with your words....you may try to kill me with your hatefulness, but still like air, I rise.

I humbly thank the ITF for any consideration given to all the facts in this case. They have my full support.

Serena.
