In this post, we are sharing some of these basic tricks that will make you a great photographer without spending a single penny in some sort of crash photography course. You can thank us later, let’s get delve into these trick and click some cool pictures.

Understanding and Setting ISO

In your camera, ISO is the factor that controls the sensitivity of the image. When you set ISO high, this means that the image sensor is operating at full capability and capturing more. Setting ISO high will allow you to shoot and capture moments in low light situations. For example, when you are capturing images indoors at a dinner, you need to set ISO high. Whereas, when your ISO is low, this means that your sensor is not running at its full capacity. It gives you enough room and flexibility with regard to the amount of light you can let into your camera. Shooting with low ISO is ideal, when you are shooting outdoors on a bright sunny day.

Setting the Shutter Speed

Once you know the scenario in which you would be taking picture from your newly bought camera, the next thing you have to decide is the Shutter speed. Setting shutter speed is of great importance when you want to shoot a subject in motion. Setting shutter speed actually means for how long the shutter remains open. If you choose to keep your shutter open for a long time, it will let lots of light get into the camera and will capture the motion as it moves, with final image appearing in blur. A short shutter speed is just like a quick blink that freezes a moment in no time without blur.

Appropriate Aperture

Before taking an awesome picture, you need to set aperture of your camera. Setting aperture means controlling the size of the lens opening. It is just like pupil of your eyes open wide in low light and shrinks down in full sunlight. If you want to focus only on your subject, you will set a low aperture. On the other hand, a high aperture will lengthen your depth of field.

White Balance

If the white balance settings of your camera don’t match the color temperature of the lighting, then it will make your image appear yellow, green or blue. If you are shooting inside without natural light, you must set your camera to the right color temperature. For beginners AWB (automatic white balance) is an ideal option, but a manual adjustment produces a more visually appealing photo.
