Kapalbhati vs. Bhastrika

Bhastrika uses force in inhalation and exhalation. Thus, changing the lungs’ residual capacity. Whereas Kapalbhati uses forceful exhalation only. Thus, it reduces the volume of air in the lungs. Inhalation is passive in Kapalbhati.

Kapalbhati Pranayam reverses the normal breathing process. Which has a profound effect on the nervous system. Besides, it is a great technique to get the cardio-vascular system warmed up! Start with 100 rounds and if comfortable, go upto to 500!
