Asanas to relax the shoulders-neck
1. Matsyasana
Stretches the muscles in the shoulders and the front of the neck
2. Marjariasana
The asana helps the back and relaxes the muscles in the neck and shoulder blades.
3. Gomukhasana
This asana is brilliant for tight shoulders. The anterior deltoids and trapezius are relaxed. And all the strain is released.
4. Balasana
Child’s pose is a deeply restorative pose that can be very relaxing for the neck and back.
5. Paschim Namaskar
Stretches the shoulder joints and pectoral muscles
6. Simple Stretches
- Neck rotation : Just ease the tension in the neck and around the shoulders.
- Shoulder rotation: Release the stiffness from every cell around the shoulder.
- Hands on top and down by your side: This is relaxing for the shoulder girdle muscles.
Regular practice helps in removing the blockages and tightness, around the shoulders and neck. Besides, be careful with your posture, especially when using your phone or reading. Simple changes can help you relax!
