Caffeine is one of substance that should not be consumed excessively, but this substance could be found in various beverages. Then how the influence of Caffeine on health

Most of the parents is not going to give her son a cup of coffee, but also parents can unwittingly give their children through the intake of caffeine in soft drinks. Currently, many beverages that contain caffeine, so parents should be careful in keeping the intake of caffeine on children.

As quoted from Health.MSN, Friday (18/06/2010) caffeine is a substance that can stimulate the central nervous system and this substance can provide a similar effect on children and adults. At low levels, these substances can make a person feel more energetic and alert (awake).

Securities that can be generated from caffeine is that it can cause headaches, abdominal pain, nervousness, difficulty concentrating and increased heart rate. In the children do not need high doses to cause these symptoms, so that although low levels can produce certain effects.

In addition there are other reasons that require parents to limit consumption of caffeine in children, namely:


   1. Eating too many sugary drinks that contain caffeine can cause tooth cavity and damage the tooth enamel of children.
   2. Caffeine is a diuretic substance that causes the body to remove water content (via urination) so that it can lead to dehydration. Because of that limit consumption of caffeine, because children tend to be more difficult to drink water to replace lost fluids in his body.
   3. Caffeine can aggravate heart problems or nervous disorders, so it is quite dangerous if a child has been accustomed to consuming caffeine.

Although the children did not consume coffee, but caffeine intake can be obtained from tea, chocolate, coffee ice cream, soft drinks or frozen yogurt. Therefore, parents must consider the intake of food or drink.

To avoid or mengurasi caffeine intake, parents can replace it with water, milk or fruit juice. In addition, if a child is already consuming caffeine often, then try to reduce the portions gradually.
