As we know, evolution is part of nature, and we adapt to live. In fact, according to many studies, humans are direct heir of chimpanzees. Nevertheless, we have been continuously changing since then; starting to vanish or develop parts of the body that help us in the new experiences or daily situations that confront us. Thanks to this, in the future we will be entirely different from what we know today. Here we will tell you some things that could stop developing in the future in the following generations…
Askiguru has discovered 10 Human Body Parts That Will Vanish One Day
1.Body Hair
Body hair used to protect humans from terrible weather conditions. What about now when we have our comfy woolen sweaters and leather jackets? Well evidently most hair on the human body serves no functions. Besides eyebrows perhaps they keep the sweat from our eyes and the male facial hairs plays a significant role in attracting the opposite sex. So it is very likely to get extinct in the future.
2.Wisdom Teeth
These big teeth were used to crunch food for digestion, but these days, we’ve got forks and knives for that. Most people don’t ever get their wisdom teeth, are born without them or they never erupt.
3.Toes
Scientists have discovered that the human used to work in balance more in the middle of their feet. But now we have gradually transferred to balancing more on the side of our big toe. Studies also show that our centre of balance is still shifting in word. So in fact this means that human used to rely on their toes for balance. But now they don’t use them as much.
4.Arrector Pili Muscles
Contraction of Arrector Pili Muscles causes the hairs to stand on end, known as goosebumps. Unlike animals who activate these muscles to warm themselves or frighten others, we humans activate them when we feel too cold or see something breathtaking, and we call them goosebumps. Many cats raise their hair when they feel danger from another animal or they try to back away other animal but humans do not have enough long hair to show visible signs of detecting a threat.
5.Neck Rib
A set of cervical ribs, maybe a leftover from the age of reptiles, still appears in less than 1% of the population. Some people have it only on their left or right side, while some have both. They often cause nerve and artery problems
6.Third Eyelid
Many mammals have a third eyelid that helps to keep the eye clean; humans have a smaller version in the corner of their eyes, but it is possible that it can go away in the future because it is no longer needed.
7.Thirteenth Rib
I bet you didn’t know you had thirteen ribs. Well not everyone does actually! Even I had no idea about it. 8% of adults have a 13 ribs instead of the normally 12. Strange, right?! Our closest cousins, chimpanzees and gorillas also have an extra set of ribs!
8.Darwin Point
Darwin’s point is a tiny folded point of skin which is placed towards the top of each ear. It’s occasionally found in modern humans, but not on all of them. It is seen in some people which indicates its use back in the time when people used it to hear long distant sounds. It will continue to vanish as the generations will pass.
9.Appendix
It is a tube attached to large intestine so humans can digest more cellulose when they depended upon plants as their source of nutrition. As today we have other forms of nutrition and we do not solely depend on plants we no longer need this muscle. It is unneeded and prone to infections.
10.Male Nipples
Essentially, men only have nipples because they could have been female.Males and females develop in exactly the same way for the initial 60 days in the womb. For those with a Y chromosome testosterone will then kick in, which will cause male sex organs to develop instead of female ones. By this point, though, you’re already going to get nipples. But because having nipples doesn’t actually do any harm, they have never been weeded out by natural selection – and so pretty much everyone still has them.
