Mindfulness Apps we like

With Mindfulness having such an uptake in society it is no surprise that the technology field hasn’t responded. There are a growing amount of apps on the market that aim to help people into the world of Mindfulness. Here are just a few of the ones that we like.

1. Headspace

Headspace was the first app that we tried 3 or 4 years ago when it first came out. It was love at first sight. The app is simple to use and is well organised. The quality of the Meditations is also very high and Andy Puddicombe has a very relaxing voice. The free app gives you a sample of the meditations you can use and is good to get the mindfulness beginners started.

2. Calm

Calm is another big seller in the Mindfulness App market and there is good reason too. The app is slick and easy to use and it helps you get started as soon as possible. The basic app again comes with a few meditations to get you started, with the aim of getting you to sign up to a plan. This is worth it because the quality of the ‘courses’ that they offer is staggering

3.Insight Timer

Insight Timer gets a mention here because it is a good app for those that have moved on from the more basic Mindfulness meditations. The app is a basic timer that lets you set times for bells to ring as you meditate. There is also the option for a few guided meditations but we just preferred the basic timers.

I’m sure there are other apps that you like just as much and we’d love to hear about them.
