Check Yourself Before…

Workingout isn’t just a Physical thing. I always thought it was, but, nope.

Something that I’ve found over these past almost 9 months is that you can’t just be ready Physically. You have to be ready Mentally.

Seriously.

I’ve going that on days when I’m distracted with other things that life throws at you my workouts suffer. I can’t focus. I can’t concentrate. I half-ass everything. It’s not on purpose.

Take today for example. Actually, the past month honestly. I’ve had this nagging problem that has drained me mentally and physically. I’m left exhausted and my workouts are suffering for it. My mind isn’t where it needs to be.

What can a Fat Mom do about this?

Check herself before she wrecks herself even more.

We all have to do that from time to time though. Sit down, meditate, look at our lives. Are we whole? Not pain wise, mentally. Are we whole? Do we have problems that are festering? Issues that we’re avoiding?

If your answer is yes, it’s time to fix it. Our journeys aren’t just a physical journey. We aren’t changing things only to have our minds turn on us.

Working out is a time you can be lost in yourself. Think. Plan. Contemplate. And fix. We’re always a work in progress. Even if you’re in peak physical condition, you’re a work in progress. Never forget that.

So how will I handle what’s distracting me? Easy. Find the route of the problem and fix that.
