Exercises During Pregnancy

This is the time when you are highly motivated to eat healthy and live healthy because the health of Baby depends upon your health. Exercise during pregnancy works wonders for both you and your baby. If you perform exercise on daily basis and remain more active and fit during pregnancy, then it is easier to adapt the changing shape of the body and weight gain.

Type of exercises

1. Stress-free Workout:- It will contain two types of exercises so that you can stay stress-free during the day and helps in good sleep in the night. When you wake up, immediately do these exercises.

  • Stand tall – Stand straight with the back on the wall and touch the wall with your heels, hips, shoulders, and head. Take 3 small breathes and (1 exhale and inhale equals 1 breath). Take a short break and repeat this exercise for 3 times.

  • Child’s Pose – Lay down on the bed or on the floor with the pillow or rolled towel behind your knees. Open up your hands and lay down your head on the floor or on the pillow. Keep your spine long and your neck relaxed. Hold for as long as you like.

2. Water Exercise – This exercise is best for relaxing the body and also helps the baby to be relaxed. Make a horseshoe shape with the help of floating material under your arms and back. Pull your legs to the surface of the water and feel relaxed in the water This will bring out all your stress and lower the chances of mood swings.

3. Super Mom Exercise – This exercise will help to gain strength and powerful muscles. With this exercise, you are prepared to lift the weight and holding of the baby.

Take out dumbbells in your hands bend your knees and open up legs as the same distance between your hips. Bend your knees and sit back into a semi-squat as you reach your right arm overhead and left the arm behind you. Perform this action till you feel comfortable.

4. Yoga – This is the best and the favorite exercise of most of the pregnant women. Keep your tailbone downward and start inhale and exhale process. Move your chest forward and down and as you bend your elbows back along-side your ribs. Inhale and push back up. Repeat this for 3-4 times and then relax your body.
