Gold Creations: Golden Garden Tablescape Breakdown

Gold. It’s one of the most versatile colors out there. Available in soft shades that are almost pastel yellows or bright metallics.  Due to its diverse nature this color can be featured in almost any season, in any palette. As we transition from summer to autumn, check out our Golden Garden Tablescape.

Linen

Two of my absolute favorite materials were used in this Tablescape.  Shantung Silk napkins are just as durable as Polyester. However, Shantung Silk has a slight ribbed texture that casts a delicate sheen to the fabric.  It creates a very sophisticated and chic look.

The main tablecloth used to get this look as a 90 x 132 in. Abstract Silk Embroidered Polyester Tablecloth in Gold. Darker gold threads are embroidered into the fabric and stand out against the lighter background.  The colors tend to blend together from far away, but when you’re close up the tiny threads stand in stark contrast creating something far more complex.

Flowers

Gold flowers on gold linen seemed a bit too much.  Not to mention that unless we wanted to use hard metallic golds the coloring would be…off.  To bring in the garden aspect of the tablescape then we chose to use softer colors. Peach Champagne Peonies decorate the vases on either sides of the Brass Taper Candle Holders.  In order to add height to the tablescape, we put Peruvian Lily Bunches in the center vase. While Peach Champagne is the main color, a few heads of Mauve are in all three vases for additional color.

Somewhere between Peach and Mauve lies Dusty Pink. Our 11 in. Silk Roses complimented the various shades of gold and tied in the flowers.  By placing them on the plates you bring the centerpiece and place settings together for one cohesive piece.

Accents

What really pulls the tablescape together and gives it an over the top elegant vibe are the Champagne Coral Glass Chargers.  With a pattern similar to flowers the charger edges are just visible under the dinner plates. The rough edges of the chargers nicely contrast with the lace pattern, flowing edges of the stacked dishware.

The color scheme distinguishes what is what in this tablescape.  For example, accents, such as the chargers and Brass Taper Candle Holders, have a metallic gold tone.  Our artificial silk flowers are a peach to dusty rose with splashes of mauve.

Gold is one of those colors that never goes out of style. There are endless ways to style and combine palettes to create something new.  Let us know what you think of our Golden Garden Tablescape or send pictures of your golden creation to [email protected]!
