Welcome to the dummies guide on how to get stronger in Guardian Soul. Here are some tips and tricks on how to progress further into the game, increasing your guardian’s CP and leveling your guardians fast in the game.

Follow and complete ‘To Do List’ quests

Once you are done with the tutorial, I advise you to follow and complete all the ‘To Do List’ quests. You will obtain different items as rewards and this is the fastest way to obtain diamonds early in the game. Some quests will require you to finish a certain chapter from the Adventure while others require you to upgrade your guardian’s equipment, etc. You can tap the ‘Go’ button and the game will guide you along the way to finish the quest.

Focus on obtaining 4-6 star guardians

I recommend using your diamonds on the Lucky Draw and purchase the premium treasure tickets. This is where you will have a chance to obtain a 6-star guardian. Even if you do not obtain a 6-star guardian early in the game, it is okay as the 4-5 star guardians will still help you a lot in the early stages of the game. You can also try rerolling by uninstalling the app and reinstalling the game. I suggest not linking (binding) your account if you are doing this as rerolling will not work if you have already linked an account.

Before attempting a stage, you will get to set up your guardians in a team. Prioritize on placing your high-grade star guardians in a team. You can tap the ‘Auto Formation’ button to allow the game to place the recommended guardians for you. You can also choose which ‘Critical Blow’ Skill to use during battles. Make sure that your party’s CP is above the recommended CP so that you can clear the stage much easier.

Upgrade your tap skills

You will gain a tap skill point everytime you level up. To use these skill points, go to the ‘TAP’ icon where you can upgrade 3 different kinds of TAP skills (Main Menu->TAP).

• TAP Attack – This skill is great if you are going to tap monsters often. I don’t usually upgrade this skill as I prefer my guardians to let them deal damage instead. The higher the skill level, the more damage you can deal against enemies.
• TAP Heal – This skill is great if you do not have a healer guardian in your team. The higher the skill level, the more HP that you can heal a guardian.
• Critical Blow – I like to upgrade this skill because of the Critical Blow skills are pretty strong, especially at high level. The only downside is that the gauge consumption is 100 which is much higher than TAP Attack and TAP Heal.

If you messed up upgrading any of the skills, you can tap the ‘Reset’ button to reset all your skill points for free.

Complete each stage with 3 stars

Always aim to complete each stage with 3 stars. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, you will receive the max star dungeon rewards for each chapter such as diamonds, guardian soul stones, and Gold (Tap the present at the bottom right side of the screen). Secondly, you will unlock the ‘Auto Clear’ feature where you can use Auto Clear Tickets to instantly clear the stage.

Auto mode or manual?

You can use the Auto mode where your guardians will automatically use their skills once they are available during battles. The downside is that your guardians will not dodge against enemy’s attacks. I suggest using the Auto mode except for the boss stages (final stage of every chapter) where you will have to drag your guardians out of the way against boss attacks that deal a lot of damage.

Strengthening your guardians – Equipping items and upgrade + Guardian equipment + Leveling up guardians

There are multiple ways to strengthen your guardians and increase their CP:

• Equipping items and upgrade
• Guardian equipment
• Leveling up guardians
• Upgrading guardian skills
• Guardian mastery
• Attaching alchemy stones

Each guardian will require 6 different items in order to upgrade to the next color tier. To find out how to obtain these items, tap the item that you want to obtain then tap drop location/combo and the game will show you which adventure stages the item will drop. Upgrading to the next color tier will unlock a certain gear for your guardian.

For equipment, each gear can either be upgraded to its next color tier (‘How to Upgrade’) or level up its star level (‘Upgrade’). To level up its star level, you will need enchant stones which can be obtained from Dimensional Dungeon (Main Menu->Dimensional Dungeon), the Globin Shop (Main Menu->Globin Shop) and the Alchemy Lab (Main Menu->Alchemy Lab). As for the items needed to upgrade gear, you can find them by doing the Equipment Dungeon stages (Main Menu->Equipment Dungeon).

You can use food to level up your guardians much faster (Tap the ‘Bag’ from the Main Menu->Misc.->Tap any of the food->Use). Food can be obtained mainly from playing the adventure stages and the Alchemy Lab.

Strengthening your guardians – Upgrading guardian skills + Guardian mastery + Attaching alchemy stones

You can upgrade guardian skills to increase the power of their skills during battles. Upgrading a skill requires a skill point which will recharge once every few minutes. Upon reaching guardian level 35, you can unlock a special skill for that guardian. I advise unlocking special skills to your strongest guardians since unlocking a special skill is quite expensive (Costs 1000 diamonds to unlock).

For the Guardian mastery, you can use refine stones (Tap the Mastery to use a refine stone) for a chance to increase your guardian’s stats even further. Aim for the (+) refine and apply them to increase stats. You can also use the ‘Special Refine’ where you can use diamonds to guarantee the (+) refine result.

As for Alchemy stones, the only way to obtain them is from the Alchemy Stone Gacha which you will have to reach team level 40 to unlock the ‘Prelude to Retaliation’.

Evolving your guardians

To evolve a guardian, you will need guardian soul stones which can be obtained mainly from the elite adventure stages. You can also use ultimate soul stones which can be used to evolve any guardian. Since the ultimate soul stones are rare to acquire aside from purchasing using real money, I suggest using those to evolve your 5-star guardians to 6-stars.

Do all the different dungeons/features daily

Make sure to do and complete all the different dungeons from the main menu daily. I will go through the list of the dungeons/features that you have to do daily.

• Dimensional Dungeon – Make sure to set up your strongest guardians in order to defeat the boss faster.
• Rank Battle – Basically the ‘Arena’ where you can battle against other players. The higher the rank you climb, the better the rewards
• Alchemy Lab – This is where you can research and collect items such as Gold, enchant stones and food. You can also ‘Loot’ other players to steal items from their production.
• Equipment Dungeon
• Weekly Dungeon – You can obtain either Gold or food from the Weekly Dungeon
• Guardian Tower – Make sure to set up your strongest guardians to progress the tower further
• Network Dungeon – Do the Co-op dungeons for rewards and team EXP
• Dungeon of Tribulations – You will obtain diamonds if you complete a dungeon. Each dungeon has its own requirement in order to complete.
• World Boss – The best way to obtain refine stones. The more damage you deal to the World Boss, the more refine stones you are rewarded.

Joining a Guild

I suggest joining a Guild as soon as possible if you have not done so. You will gain access to different types of Guild features such as:

• Guild War – Make sure to set your strongest guardian for defense (Set Defense)
• Boss Raid – You can battle raid bosses for black coins
• Boost – You can send or receive action points from/to guild members
• Guild Shop – You can spend your black coins to exchange for certain items

Daily Login Rewards + Events + Missions

Even if you do not play this game often, I would suggest to at least log in and check the ‘Daily Login Check’, ‘7-day Login’ daily for various rewards. You can check out the ‘Ongoing Events’ where you can complete some of them for free rewards or exchange your diamonds for action points or items. As for Missions, prioritize doing the Daily missions, followed by the Weekly and Monthly missions. The reason is that you will gain G.Lv points which will level up your G.Lv for special bonuses. The higher your G.Lv, the better the bonuses you get.
