Hi, welcome to my niche post about how to install pentoo Linux on Vmware and Virtualbox The Installation process of PENTOO is too Complicated and requires Commands when first booting where else after that you can use GUI.in case if you changed your mind. You can choose any other operating system used by Hackers.

Pentoo Desktop

STARTING INSTALLATION:

0.) Download Vmware and Virtualbox.

If your PC is 64 bit I suggest VMware workstation or player because it is reliable and has wide customer support even you can get help on other sites too and the solutions are simple and straightforward. And the most popular thing about VMware is that VMware has good intelligence if you forget to eject.ISO file it will remind you and eject it automatically if you agreed.
Download VMware Workstation Player.

OR

If your PC is 32 bit only Virtualbox will work. And bear this In your mind you Have to choose 32-bit kernel operating system files because of these lines on virtual box's site."Please note that the package architecture must fit your host operating system architecture. So if you are running a 32-bit kernel on a 64-bit capable CPU you have to install the32-bit version (x86/amd64)".
Download Oracle Virtual Box.

You must need anyone of them For Installing Linux Distributions On Your PC without deleting or Harming Windows. The installation Process Is Simple and doesn't need any instructions but in case if you are stuck you Can Ask Without Hesitation.I guarantee the one who chooses VMware workstation will be in 80℅ less trouble.if they choose according to their kernel versions.

1.) DOWNLOAD PENTOO .ISO
Download pentoo iso you will have two options.option one will be  HTTP and second option will be over FTP.I prefer FTP via switch. To download .ISO file because it is fast.
Pentoo .ISO download

2.) After Completing installation Move ISO image To your desired directory. And open VMware or virtual box. actually, VMware and Virtual boxes are made for offices which work on servers or Networking So in offices instead of using multiple PC all the work can be done on just one PC.

1.C) Now click on create a new Virtual machine for VMware or Only new for the Virtualbox as you see in above images.new screen will appear. To help you start setting up your Virtual Machine actually, It is Virtual Machine setting wizard.Wizard is a guided option to set up the software according to what you want.

NOW BOTH PROCESSES FOR VMWARE AND VIRTUALBOX ARE DIFFERENT.

PEOPLE WITH VMWARE WORKSTATION CAN CONTINUE FROM HERE.

1.D) People with VMware select typical installation.and click next to see beginner's guided wizard which means the wizard will be easy and straightforward with tips on every step when you have to make big decisions.Or even small but complicated like you will find below asking all files in one partition or split files etc.

1.E) Now choose ISO file of BACKBOX which you downloaded in step one.while we can also render our ISO file later but because its good time to be rendered and we also are ready for it to be rendered.mean our downloads and efforts aren't pending.

1.F) Now select Linux and choose Ubuntu 64 bit/32 bit according to The kernel of ISO file.remember Kernels are bits and most often 32bit kernels are equals to x86. So if you think that x86 is larger than 64 bit you are wrong you may know this before. But I will like to guide you whatever you can because later you could face tasks yourself and with open-mindedness.

1.G) Now Set Name And directory/location where you wants to keep your guest operating system files and name Of The operating system which is just shown to you for differentiating between other operating systems In your VMware Workstation.

1.H) Now select Virtual Disk space means the maximum space that can be consumed by operating for Pentoo the minimum size is 25 GB but if you use 25-30 GB it will work smoother.Virtual Disk Space is actually a virtual/easily-removable Partition which will not hurt anything on your Hard Disk drive at all except consuming disk space according to the usage of the guest operating system.

1.I) Now Click Edit Settings for this Machine Choose Hardware From the top of the screen in-case if not already highlighted Now Click Memory And Choose RAM at least 1 GB is recommended (taught or told) by elders or experienced ones)it doesn't means it wont work if you allocate 989 MB or 2 GB.Now review the hardware Configuration and start The Machine again If the machine doesn't start don't forget to ask me in the contact form.

Follow After Virtual Box To Complete Remaining Steps.

PEOPLE USING VIRTUALBOX CAN CONTINUE FROM HERE.

1.D) Now Select Name Which will be shown to you For Differentiating in between different guest operating systems And then Choose Type Which is  Linux of course and then select version.if you can't get version choose UBUNTU 64bit if your kernel is 64 bit or select UBUNTU for 32 bit OS.

1.E) Now Choose RAM (random access memory) actually you will see memory written on your wizard but I told RAM to tell you the importance of it.So you will choose wisely and efficiently for smoother performance. But choose at-least 1 GB or greater because it is recommended.

1.F) Create a new virtual hard disk. Select the second option “create a new virtual hard disk now“. Hit the "create” button.Actually, This will be your virtual Hard Disk But it will be primary (on which Operating Systems Boots/Depends) hard Disk for guest Operating System.

1.G) Choose your Hard Disk file type as VDI and click next then choose dynamically allocated you can Also set fixed size because Dynamically seems to be a better option for us instead if sucking whole hard disk storage at once it's better to increase size as per usage.

1.H) Choose your hard disk size From 25 to 30 GB for Good performance. But at least 25 GB is required because This machine does not know that it is Virtual Machine It will bring every Driver and software with it like it does when you Install it on your System boot Sorry for the story but it's for you.Now Click Create.

1.I)
(1)Choose storage
(2)choose Empty
(3)Click on DVD icon next to IDE Secondary Master
(4) Choose a Virtual CD/DVD disk file, Which is the Node Zero ISO you have downloaded. Click OK.And now start the engine
.
Steps.

ALL OF YOU CAN CONTINUE FROM HERE AGAIN.

INSTALLATION PROCESS.

Actually, Installation Process of Pentoo OS is very difficult and Risky So I am not writing it down to ensure you get the good understanding because you can even waste that virtual part of your hard disk permanently and can not recover so instead of reading you can watch a video to ensure no human errors occurs. Pentoo Installation Detailed Video  But Virtual Box Users must have to Come here back after Completing.

NOTE FOR VIRTUAL BOX.

After the installation gets done you have to Remove the Pentoo ISO image. Go to settings and choose storage under the Controller: IDE click on ISO image which you attached first and choose Remove Attachment. This step is very important otherwise, the installation will restart.
