Things To Do Before An Interview

Help!  I'm in a resume race and can't Figure out how to center myself before the big day!  Trying to figure out how to prepare for an Interview is time consuming and frustrating.  Ever feel like your legs are going flutter around from your nerves or that your will forget how to shake a hand properly?  Lots of us have been there and done that.  Interviews are meant to be an exciting time of prospective, positive feedback and position recognition.  Don't sweat the small stuff and make sure your fully prepared.
Positive self talk and evaluations are crucial in the hours before its time to walk in.  You must lose the defeatist, 'I can't' attitude or else you will carry it with you.  You can stick uplifting, post-it messages on your vanity or restroom mirror.  Have inspiring videos playing from your computer or cell phone. You can even find older pep talks recorded on tapes at your local library.  If you prefer, let your partner, friend or a family member come over and discuss details with you.  This often helps in calming your excitement levels before the meetup.
A lot of it has to do with how you dress yourself.  Don't let it upset you to the point of crying all over your brand new button up.  Take it easy on yourself, dress for the atmosphere of the business and make sure your hair is styled professionally.  This goes for all types of jobs such as restaurants, corporations, retail and many more.  Bring a smile worth seeing by chatting with yourself in an affirmative matter.  Talk about your skill set, remind yourself of why you want the position and stay happy.  For some people, all it takes is a double shot of espresso.
Another principal factor in preparing for your meeting is knowing what the business is all about.  If Bob wants to land a prestigious role as the general manager of a five star hotel then he needs to know what the role entails.  He will need to be highly ranked at keeping things organized, understanding the latest computer software, greeting people and many other important qualities.  It takes a lot of expertise to become a general manager.  If Bob follows all of these tips, he will gladly walk out with the key to the building in hand.  Be aware of all of these aspects to planning ahead of time and you will succeed.
