How to install TWRP in Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100)


Hey,
In this tutorial I'am going to show you how to Install TeamWin Recovery in Galaxy S2. Yesterday I searched on internet about installing TWRP in Galaxy s2. I tried lots of  them, nothing worked. All I can install in CWM. I can't install most ROMs with CWM. Like Ressurrection Remix Noughat . I just stuck at Patching System Image Unconditionally. But now I got a working tutorial about installing TWRP in Galaxy S2 from XDA.



WARNING. It will not work if your phone is encrypted. Uncrypt it before starting this tutorial.
WARNING. This tutorial works without a PC. It works also if you get Unknown USB device in Windows.
WARNING. Warranty is now void.



Things you need : 

  • I hope You flashed Stock Rom!
  • Firstly you need to flash stock rom on Galaxy S2. Follow this tutorial to flash Stock Rom.
  • Download djibe Galaxy S2 i9100 pack (42 MB ) (This file contains  Philz Touch recovery + kernel Lanchon IsoRec CM11 + the.gangster IsoRec TWRP 3.0.2-1 recovery + lanchon repit djibe edit + USB drivers) (Extract and copy all these files to Micro SD skip the usb drivers) 
  • A micro SD card 

That's all you need :) 
So let's get started...


Steps : 

1 ) Backup Data : Backup all the files you need from your phone. Because it fully wipes your phone.
    We gonna repartition phone to reduce an unused pre-load partition of 512 Mo.
    We gonna increase system partition to 1 GB so Android 6 and Gapps have enough space.
    We gonna increase data partition so you can have all the apps you like. 

    2 ) Shutdown the phone.  Go to Recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Home + Power buttons and release them
    when you see Galaxy S2 logo.

    In default Recovery use Volume buttons to navigate and use power buttons to confirm.

    3 ) Select Install zip > choose philz_touch_6.48.4-i9100 and install it.
    When completed shutdown phone and go to recovery again, Now you are on Philz touch recovery.

    4 ) In Philz Recovery Wipe cache and system 
    Then select install and choose kernel-Lanchon-TRIM-IsoRec-20160112-cm-11-i9100
    5 ) Then again install and choose recovery-the.gangster-IsoRec-TWRP-3.0.2-1-i9100 
    Reboot phone to recovery again, Now you are on TWRP!
    6 )  TWRP go to Backup and select Boot, System, Data (tap select storage and select External storage) Then swipe to backup . Backup files will be found on your microSD's twrp folder.

    Go back to TWRP Home screen

    7 )  Select Install choose lanchon-djibe-repit-20170115-system=1G+wipe-data=6G+wipe+f2fs-sdcard=max+wipe+ext4-preload=min+wipe-i9100 Swipeto flash.
    It shows an error. Its okay. We got what we needed :)

    Go back to TWRP Home screen

    8 ) Select Install and tap on storage and select Internal and , Tap on up a level
    Scroll down and open tmp folder and select  lanchon-djibe-repit-2017.. (it takes about two minutes)

    Go back to TWRP Home screen

    9 ) Select wipe > advance wipe select Dalvik, Cache, System, System, Data, Internal Storage then Swipe to Wipe.

    Tada!! :) Now you installed TWRP on Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100) .. If you gets any error feel free to ask!
