The FIRS recruitment has just begun and a lot of applications have been received.  It has come to the Notice of the Federal Inland Revenue Service that some hoodlums are online claiming to be officials with the FIRS, these hoodlums try to extort money from individuals promising to make their names show on the FIRS recruitment shortlisted candidates. Please and please discard any information regards the FIRS recruitment Shortlisted candidates as it is a huge lie.

The FIRS chairman has clearly made it know that they are not the ones sending out such rumors, He has also made it known that the Nigerian Police Force has been made aware of these criminal activities made in the name of the FIRS. The Nigerian police have already convicted some culprits who dubiously obtained the sum of #30,000 from one Mr. Chibudo  in the name of the FIRS. The victim Mr. Chibudo said that he got emails asking him to pay the stated sum of money to a certain bank account so that his name could come out in the FIRST batch of the FIRS recruitment shortlisted candidates. After Mr. Chibudo paid in the sum of #30,000 it got dawned to him that he had been scammed, thank his Goodness that he was wise enough to involve the police immediately. The suspects were traced and arrested.

The FIRS and the Nigerian Police force have made it known to the general public through this announcement that the FIRS is not going to ask you for any sum of money for your name to be Shortlisted for the FIRS interview. The FIRS chairman made it known that applications will be considered based on merit. In his words “Dear Nigerians, do not fall for these 419ers who have decided to bring condemnation on themselves, the Nigerian police have started a good work by fishing out some of them, but do not hope on that. You have to be wise yourselves! I will personally make sure that the names on the FIRS shortlisted candidates list will be published on the official FIRS website and other media. And please do not hesitate to report anybody who asks you for any form of gratification to the Nearest police station so we fish out the criminals. To be forewarned is to be forearmed”

How to apply for the FIRS Recruitment 2017

You can go through this procedure on the Internet. To do this, simply visit their official website www.firs.gov.ng. This is a fairly straightforward process, just follow the instructions when completing the application. All applicants must choose only one position, otherwise your candidacy will not be considered and you will be disqualified. After filling the form, you will receive a confirmation with your personal number, which will be used in all subsequent operations. The commission will narrow the circle of candidates and invite only the most promising ones for an interview.
