There are just too many wannabe Bloggers all across the world. As I browse the net I come across on a daily basis a number of Me Too Blogs. Blogs are most welcome and aspiring authors must write and claim their rightful fame,fortune and all the goodies that come along with it. However there are a few cautions that any blogger must exercise while Blogging. In the above lines I have mentioned about several Me Too Blogs that scream for attention. What is a Me Too Blog?
- A Meet too blog is one that screams for attention. One that has a huge number of spelling mistakes, an equal amount of grammatical errors. Some Bloggers come into the act thinking that there is a lot of money to be earned from just about writing. While it is true that Money can be earned in the short run even with Me Too Blogs, Its not going to be long before such bloggers come crashing down. Lesson to be Learnt: Focus as always needs to be on Quality.
- Me Too Blogs claim to write about anything under the sky. They claim to be subject matter experts. They claim virality for their blogs. Yes a Blogger can be a subject matter expert in multiple fields but all has to be acquired over a period of time. In the initial days take a briefing from a product specialist about the product/service that you intend to blog about. Learn all the technical jargon. Finally color it with your blogging skills. There you go!!! You will have created the recipe for a perfect blog and not a Me Too Blog that gets lost in a crowd.
- There are no short cuts to success. A Blogger to be recognized for all his efforts takes time. Even I am in that zone. So believe that you are not alone in this field. The one thing that you must do is keep writing regularly and consistently. Either once a day or once a week. For a start begin to write about Topics that you love, about subjects that are close to your heart. Once you start getting some amount of traction start venturing into other fields of interest. Think of how uniquely you can present your subject matter. Remember the Golden Rule of Blogging: Stand out in a Crowd and don't become a Me Too Blog.
- I have seen bloggers often copy pasting their subject matter from other websites. This is the worst thing a blogger can do and the closest that he can come close to a Me Too Blog and I Too Can Blog. You will be found out very easily because an avid reader/browser is in constant touch with other blogs. You will be discovered very fast, that yours is not original content. Quote you can but always mention the referral sites link, that way you will not be accused of Plagiarism.
- Do a lot of research online. Understand what Keywords are and how they are trending. Keywords constitute a very important part of blogging. Search engines will discover your blog only through the kind of keywords that you put to use. This has to be a ongoing process much like brushing your teeth. Research has to be done daily so that you do not become a Me Too Blog.
- Everyone Loves a Sachin Tendulkar, but a clone of him, perhaps for some time, but over a period time one realizes that there can be only one Sachin. There can be only one you.
