Watch the Renault ZOE e-sport concept tackle the Goodwood Hillclimb

Last weekend crowds of petrol heads descended on the Goodwood for the annual Festival of Speed.  A weekend is usually full of loud and proud supercars, this year one small electric car also made an appearance to take on the iconic Hillclimb.

Revealed at the Geneva Motorshow back in March, the Renault ZOE e-sport concept takes the fun all electric city car and creates the first ever electric hot hatch.  Constructed from Carbon Fibre the e-sport weights in at just 1,400kg and sits on diamond cut 20 inch alloy wheels. Powered by two motors delivering almost 460bhp and 640nm of torque enabling a zero to 60mph sprint in 3.2 seconds.

The ZOE’s colour scheme clearly mirrors that of the Renault Formula E team, the reigning champion of the all electric race series.  The dominant colour is Satin Blue with flashes of yellow on the deep front and rear bumpers and the slim line mirrors.  The distinctive hatch has recently been touring Europe attending Formula E race events, silently taking to the track with racing legend Alain Prost at the wheel.
