I grew up in London, England and was educated at the University of London and my career path seem to be set to go into the Advertising industry as had my older brother. But then things began to change! First my brother decided to move to Texas with his wife and two small children. He was sponsored then, by my sister who had married a GI after World War 2. Before I new it, he and his family were boarding the "Queen Mary" on their way to San Antonio, Texas! I continued working and going to College all the while receiving letters and photos of the family in Texas. The life changing event that came next was the death of my father that left my mother and I wondering what we were going to do now. That issue came to me at 3am in the morning... let's go to America! But how do I convince my 63 year old mother, who had never been out of England, to move to all places... Texas!
