The PM Modi replied aggresively to the debate over the Motion of Thanks on the President's address in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Except the aggression there was also defence on the several issues, which he is identified as demonetisation, Swachh Bharat, Black Money and corruption, on those PM Modi has been seen on the forefront. All the above mentioned issues are recognised as his pet projects, but these have failed to make a mark with the people.
However, the Prime Minister seemed to have decided to defend himself in his aggresive style in the Parliament on these issues.
DEMONETISATION
PM Modi said that the demonetisation initiative was not a fight against any political parties or thought and clarify that there was horizontal divide. The One side was the people of India and the Government and the other side are a group of political leaders. These days the country is correcting the wrong doing that have entered our society.
Speaking about the positive outcome of the demonetisation initiative, PM said that 700 maoists had surrendered after its the start of the initiative and this number is increasing and the terrorists have also been hit by the demonetisation.
The PM seems to be wary of the mood of the people of the country and was seen offering explanation to them through Parliament debate. He had made the same defensive speech on Tuesday during his reply in the Lok Sabha.
SWACHH BHARAT
Though the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Swachh Bharat Mission with the much fanfare, its achievement's are still not clear. Despite disscussion about this issue on the various forums, from the Red Fort on Independence Day, Parliament in-out and also on his favourite monthly programme Mann Ki Baat, not more is visible on the streets and the other public places even the project has been launched more than two years ago.
The PM Modi said that It will very soon become people's mission and acknowledged media for their lending its support to the mission.
Perhaps the PM Modi is aware of the questions which are being raised over the cess added in the name of Swachh Bharat without an account of the money spent.
BLACK MONEY
PM Modi criticised the Congress and the former prime minister Indira Gandhi while speaking on the issue of black money. He reminded the Jyoti Basu, former West Bengal CM had said on September 4, 1972 that Indira Gandhi government was based on black money, by black money and for black money.
Though the nobody can question the Modi Government in checking black money. But the government have failed to fulfil the promises which had been made before the Lok Sabha elections 2014 of bringing back the black money, deposited in the foreign banks, within 100 days of coming to power. The Modi government is targeted regularly by the opposition on this issue and also has tried to build public opinion too.
CASHLESS ECONOMY
The PM also raised the issue of cashless economy while speaking in the Rajya Sabha and said that there is a need of slowly take India towards a cashless economy. But all of us have to stay positive and then change can come, the initial hardships will lead us to a better tomorrow.
However, the PM's defensive attitude is that the discussion about cashless economy in itself. Though the prime objective of the government was not a cashless economy while launching demonetisation in November 2016.
The Modi government started focusing about it when the demonetisation initiative seems to have failed to yield the desired result, of ensuring that the black money and the counterfeit currency were rejected by the system. Most of the currency after the demonetisation has been deposited in the banks, that indicates defeating the purpose of the demonetisation initiative.
CORRUPTION
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Modi said, we must have to be tough on those who are cheating the system so that the poor's hand will be strengthened. The corruption has adverse impact on the aspirations of the poor and the middle class.

The Modi government is still raising the old scams done in the Congress regime without taking any effective action against those cases.
