The world's responsibility

Palestinians run for cover Thursday as Israeli Troops open fire in the area of Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip. It was the bloodiest day since Israel invaded the area over a soldier's capture. Troops seized three empty Jewish settlements abandoned by Israel last year and pushed toward densely populated towns. Over 30 Palastiniens have been killed since Isreal entered the Gaza Strip a couple of days ago. 9000 have been imprisioned. Families have been slaughtered. Innocent people having nothing to do with any of the conflict that Israel mounts. How much of this will you read in the daily news? None, if your in America - the land of the free. Free to ignore reality. How do you express your vioce over something like this - and how do you not? This hell that these people are exeriencing is real - more real than the veiled material life I and most everyone lead here in the US. And so what is it that I care about? And what is it that I do? What is it that you do? The only think I know to do is to seek to understand. There is a very real and destructive force that is gaining ground all over the world. how much longer until it consumes us all?

this force is, I think from our responsibility that we ignoring. Turning away from humanity - from those close to us and from those far away. We ignore our own real needs. Seeing and working to develope a true sense of self is among the hardest things I've undertook - actually it is the hardest. Vanity, self importance and other lower emotions cloud the view of reality and through such blind navigation harm to others is inevitable.

we all owe this world something.
