NRN(Non-resident Nepalis) have made a total investments of Rs.29.85 billion in nine districts in Nepal which was given in a report of Society of Economics Journalists-Nepal.
From the report that was prepared on the seventh NRNA International General Assembly and GLobal Conference, Sejon a group had a report prepared of NRN investments in the 9 districts of Nepal: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Baglung, Makwanpur, Kaski, Gorkha, Chitwan and Siraha up to 2014.
Situating the ceremony, NRN president Shesh Ghale said," Despite having made significant investments in Nepal, we had not been able to provide the actual figure to the people", "Following the conclusions of this study, we can present evidence to the people and justify the investments made" added Ghale.
According to Sejon, the field study conducted in the given districts identified 67 business and industries with NRN investments. The report showed about the fact that the service sector covers the biggest business, 49 of them and 8 relating to energy based business, 7 are in manufacturing sector, and 3 in non-profit making organisations. the 67 business provide job to around 8300 persons in 9 districts, where 1/3 employees are women.
Among all the business, the non-profit making social organisation in 2003 with the motto "For Nepali by Nepali", that aims to unite Nepalis residing abroad, promote and safeguard their interests both in and outside Nepal, and mobilise their contributions in the interest of Nepal.
