Where to Spend 4th of July in Walnut Creek (2018 Edition)

Pleasant Hill 4th of July Parade, Festival, and Fireworks

The Pleasant Hill 4th of July event involves a full day of festivities that begins at 6:30 AM with registration for the Firecracker 5K Fun Run. There will be a parade, food vendors, children games, Party in the Park, a petting zoo, and fireworks.

The parade begins at 9:30 AM followed by the Party in the Park from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM that will have food, kids’ games and activities, a petting zoo, and live music. The event wraps up with The Ripplers performing on stage at 7:15 PM and fireworks by PyroSpectacular beginning at 9:20 PM.

Orinda’s 4th of July Parade and Events

Orinda holds an annual 4th of July event that begins with a Pancake Breakfast and includes a fun parade, a marathon, a book sale, and other community activities. The Pancake Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM at the Community Center in Orinda followed by the Haley’s Color Run for a Reason at 8 AM. The Parade begins in front of the Wells Fargo Bank at 10 AM.

The Annual Kiwanis 4th of July Parade in Danville

The Kiwanis Danville 4th of July event is a huge event that brings over 30,000 people every year. There are classic cars, marching bands, floats, and more that make up the parade, each year with its own unique theme. The 2018 theme is Danville’s heritage. The parade begins at 9 AM on Hartz Avenue and ends at Sycamore Valley Road.
