Dial

The face of the watch is colored in black and has a cross textured lattice design with perforated crosses. The black face is contrasted with silver tone hands and hour, minute and second markers, the markers are covered in luminous Trinite. There are three chronograph sub dials at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock; two are outlined in black where one is outlined in silver matching the hands. At the 12 o’clock position the Invicta logo is proudly emblazoned in silver with the subaqua noma dragon motif and “Chronograph 500 meters” annotation placed below.

Bezel

The bezel is made from Ion Plated stainless steel and is colored in black with silver accents, and is in keeping with the overall black and silver theme. The Outer Bezel marked with silver digits for every 5 minutes. There no digits for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes positions, instead there are screwed down crowns, which should be screwed down when using the watch underwater. The outer bezel features a silver rim around its inner edge, which contrasts against the black, helping to accentuate and define the circular dial. The outer bezel is unidirectional and can be rotated too measure elapsed time. The inner bezel features a black tachymeter that is marked with silver indices and can be used in conjunction with the outer bezel to measure speed. The bezel is sturdy, has 120 click points and locks in perfectly at 12 o’clock.

Crystal

The crystal used in the 6564 is Invicta’s proprietary flame fusion, which can only be scratched by diamond and offers superior scratch and shock Resistance than mineral crystal.

Case

The case is made from surgical grade stainless steel with silver colored ion plating. The 6564 has a steel back casing, with the Invicta and sub aqua noma logo embossed across the center. In keeping with the large dial, the case is also large at 56mm in diameter and 20 mm thick making this watch quite heavy.

Crowns and Pushers

The screwed down crown positioned at 3 o’clock is made from black Ion Plated Steel and has a protective clasp to prevent it from being unintentionally readjusted. The screwed down crown can be used to adjust the date and time functions of the watch. There are two black ion plated steel pushers either side of the crown at 3 o’clock, that are used to initiate the chronograph an stop watch features. There are also screwed down crowns at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock that should all be screwed down to enable the watches water resistance capability.

The Invicta 6564 is entirely Swiss made meaning all the parts were manufactured and assembled in Switzerland. The 6564 uses the swiss quartz movement Ronda 5050 E, which is renowned for its accuracy the only disadvantage is that some people may prefer automatic movements as they don’t rely on batter power.

Water Resistance

The Invicta 6564 has 500 meter (1650 feet) water resistance and is resistant against 500 bars of pressure. 500 m water resistance ensures that the watch is durable for long periods under water, whether or not you actually dive to depths of 500 m or not doesn’t matter. High water resistance is an indication of how durable a watch is underwater in general.

Chronograph

The 6564 is a true chronograph that can be used to accurately measure elapsed time. The watch has three sub dials that measure time to 1/10 seconds, 60 seconds and 30 minutes. The tachymeter scale features on the inner bezel provides a convenient way to calculate speed or other units per hour. The watch hands and markers are luminescent in the dark, ensuring that the watch can be seen when diving in murky waters or out at night.
