8 Must Have Cydia Apps.

My iPhone is way better after I installed Cydia and with it, the wave of tweaks and small modifications that make the iOS experience the best one possible. According to Macmillan dictionary to tweak means to make small changes in order to improve something, your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. In this post I will remind some of the most useful modifications that are to be found on the commonly used Cydia sources.

I could rank the tweaks in a top but each one has it's own purpose so will be listed alphabetically.

Alarming
One of the top modifications on Cyida is related to the built in alarm of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Don't tell me this never happened to you: during the night the phone rings and in order to don't wake the whole family you turn the volume down and you forget it that way. Of course in the morning when the alarm goes off the volume is at minimum level so you don't hear it.

Someone called Will Homer thought of that and developed the tweak "Alarming" so you don't oversleep because what this modification does it restores the alarm level to a desired value regardless of the system volume level.

Brightness Switcher
This tweak is useful if you change your brightness frequently and you're tired of that settings icon. It will add a brightness slider on the task switcher where your speaker volume setting is. It can be found on Cydia iHacksRepo.

Data Usage Monitor
If you don't have unlimited internet plan for your iPhone or iPad this is the tweak for you. The built in data monitor is hard to access Settings > General > Usage > Cellular Usage and when you finally get there there is no period limitation option whatsoever.

Well, that's about to change! The Data Usage Monitor can be found under Settings and it has almost anything you would like to manage in order to keep the phone bill as low as possible. While your iPhone or iPad does anything over the 3G network your clock will be replaced by the amount of traffic made from the last reset. You can tweak the following settings: What to Monitor, Data Display Settings, Cellular Data Limit,
Cellilar Data Usage, Monthly AutoReset Settings, Logged Periods, Cellular Data Usage(Lifetime)

NoNewsIsGoodNews
I got tired of the Newsstand apps icon because I don't use it and it can't be put in folders. So this top tweak makes Newsstand icon disappear.

NoVoiceMail
Some people don't use the voice mail so this tweak comes in handy for them. It will remove the button from phone screen.

PasswordPilot
This tweak is for the lazy ones, like I am. It auto-inserts your AppStore password whenever you install a new app on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Software Update Killer
If someone else has access to your phone you might want to avoid a disaster. So it's better for the Software Update to be disabled and the badge from the settings app to be removed.

WiFi Booster
Many WiFi hotpots are not shown on your list because of the weak signal or God knows what other motives. WiFi Booster is a top tweak that shows all the access points within reach.
