Today, Motorola announced the successor to its blockbuster Moto G smartphone that was launched six months back in the form of Moto G (2nd Generation). The price of this device is set aggressively at Rs. 12,999 and it will be available starting midnight exclusively on Flipkart.com.
The Moto G (2nd Gen.) is much of an essential upgrade rather than an exceptional upgrade. It has been built over the flaws of its previous iteration which regardless, was a phenomenal success. This 2nd generation Moto G also has been guaranteed an update to the Android L version of Google as soon as it is made live. The design of the device is somewhere inspired from the Moto E.
On the specifications front, the Moto G (2nd gen.) flaunts a 5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 294 ppi. The rear camera is now an 8-megapixel snapper accompanied by a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked to 1.2 GHz which is paired with Adreno 305. Further this setup is backed by a 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which is further expandable via microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the Moto G (2nd Gen.) is a Dual-SIM device with 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and a set of basic sensors.
The device will draw its juice from a non-removable 2070 mAh Li-Ion battery.
